•  £100 deposit payable for bank transfer or cheque.  Balance to be paid six weeks prior to arrival date.  Please note that bookings made within six weeks of arrival are payable in full

• All reservations will be held for 7 working days until deposit is received.  Confirmation by email will follow receipt of deposit

• Cancellations must be notified immediately by telephone and confirmed in writing within five days.

• Please note if a cancellation is made every effort is given to re-letting the cottage and reimbursing in full. We do however strongly recommend travel insurance to protect against unforeseen costs 

• Where travel to the island is disrupted by bad weather, industrial action, technical fault or breakdown, we cannot be held responsible for non-arrival or late arrival and no refund will be given

• We strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover the cost of any cancellations or unforeseen circumstances

• No responsibility will be held by the proprietors for any injury to persons/damage/loss not caused through the fault of the proprietor.  Please note Strathview is on a working croft and vehicles and personal property are left entirely at their owners risk.  We recommend parking cars above the cattle grid when livestock are on the croft

•  Please ensure that Strathview is left how it is found.  Please report any damage prior to departure

•  No smoking is permitted inside the cottage

• Well behaved pets are welcome with prior arrangement  ​(£20 charge per week) (Max 2) Please bring your own doggie beds, blankets, dog towels

•  Strathview is situated on a working croft - please keep pets under close control when outside the fenced garden  

• Please note changeover times are 4pm for arrival and 10am for departure​

It is important that you know we care about your personal privacy.  This Privacy Policy is for Strathview self-catering cottage, Isle of Harris and sets out how we will treat your personal information.  It may be updated as needed.

• In order to make a booking we collect  - name, email address, telephone number (for emergencies only) and the number of guests staying.  We will only contact you with important information ie confirmation of booking, balance required or cancellation and a courtesy email with ferry timetable information.  We will not use this information for any marketing purposes.

• We do not share information provided with any third parties.  The only purpose is as above and in an emergency.
