Two bedroomed, holiday cottage situated on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.

 

 Strathview is a refurbished two bedroomed detached stone cottage situated on a working croft approximately 5 minutes’ drive from Tarbert Ferry service.  

 

Set off the road in a peaceful location with beautiful views to the sea (East Loch Tarbert) the cottage is ideally placed for walking/cycling in the North Harris Hills, or visiting some of the most spectacular beaches in the Scottish Isles (white sand and turquoise sea!).  

Downstairs accommodation includes: a well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, high chair - with dining space for 6 people; a spacious lounge with open fire, sofa-bed, complimentary Wi-Fi, Freesat TV and a collection of DVDs, games and books; a bathroom with bath and shower, and a small sun room for a leisurely coffee and binoculars!

Upstairs there are two good-sized bedrooms – one king sized bed, one with double and single bed (travel cot also available on request) – and a toilet/shower room.   Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Outside, a decked area to the front and side of the cottage overlooking a small garden provides ideal space for alfresco dining at the picnic table or simply relaxing with a good book.  There is off road parking down by the cottage (when livestock are on the croft we advise leaving cars above the cattle grid). 

The cottage is heated by newly installed electric radiators and electricity is included in the price.

Local amenities in Tarbert include grocery stores, bank, café, gift shop, restaurant and bar and of course The Isle of Harris Distillery and canteen which serves delicious local produce.
