April...What a dreamy week!  Blue sky days at Northton for the temple walk, dramatic skies at Luskentyre, coos at Huisinis, glowing sands of Traigh Mheilein, hot lattes at Waterside Cafe, Harris gin by a roaring fire at Strathview, wildlife watch from the sun-room, and all-in-all precious time with ma lovely mam!  Can't wait to return.

April...Had a fabulous week at the cottage, glorious weather and lots of exploring.  Favourite places are Luskentyre beach and Ness.  Would highly recommend the cottage and the location, nice walks nearby and fantastic Harbour Bistro, Scalpay.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.  Can't wait to return.

May...A wonderful stay.  A great week walking drawing exploring - Thank you so much.  Thank you for the dog treats.

May... We saw deer from the sunny viewing room and heard plenty of birds.  All in all a tip top holiday and very comfortable cottage.  We appreciated the early communications about the ferry and about places to eat out.  Welcome tray also a treat.  Wilko (our dog) is very partial to a Jumbone!  We'd like to come again!

May... We had a wonderful holiday at Strathview.  We visited the many stunning beaches and view points of the amazingly harsh and magnificent landscape.  We've always wanted to visit the Western Isles, and were not disappointed.  We will be back.  Very many thanks.

June... Wow, Harris you were amazing!  I have fallen in love with this stunning place.  We were extremely blessed to have a week of fantastic weather and saw many beautiful sights.  Highlights were:

The walk to Eilean Glas Lighthouse.  Eagle Observatory walk.  we saw eagles more closely on the drive to Hushinish but the observatory walk was lovely.  An eagle flying right in front of the car by Aline Community woodland - WOW!  Luskentyre beach - just stunning!  The drive to Rhenigidale - stunning views.  Next time we will walk the Postman's Path.  The chocolate bronwies, coffee and warm welcome at Skoon Art cafe - and seal spotting in the bay!

Thanks for your fabulous, comfy and well equipped cottate.  I didn't want to leave!

June... We have had a wonderful week in Lewis and Harris!  What a truly beautiful Island(s), the weather has been amazing and Strathview is a lovely cottage, great location, comfortable and very well equipped.  There have been highlights for us each day.

​

July... Lovely week on Harris, despite mixed weather.  Great cottage and location.  Tremendous meal at North Harbour Bistro.  Very good wildlife spotting at Aline Woodland and Bogha Glas.  Stunning scenery and beaches.  Good tour of the Distillery.

​

July... Fantastic week - our second time at Strathview.  We went to the beach every day and had a great week.   Many thanks

March...Amazing week here!  Enjoyed some stormy days in reading and having open fires.  Loved the walk to the Temple and the walk from Hushinish to Loch Crabhadail.  Birds I'lve loved seeing this week, curlew, razerbilll, shag, rock pipit, golden eagles, sea eagles.  From the cottage we saw stonechats and a whooper swan flying overhead.  Other highlifts - croft 36 and the whisky bar at the Harris Hotel...

We have loved seeing otters and deer, dining at Flavour and our photography!   We only have phone cameras but it's very difficult to take a bad photo of this beautiful island.

March...Thanks for a lovely stay in Harris. Great well equiped house and perfect base for our trip.

April...We've had a lovely time here at Strathview.  Beautiful, well-equiped house, and very much enjoyed the big chess set.   North Harbour Bistro Scalpay was lovely - great food and service.  Also very much enjoyed Luskentyre beach, Scarisita beach and the Buna Tennis court.  Very much enjoyed our stay here and the DVDs were a bonus, and the wonderful changeover person...

May...Really enjoyed the cottage and the views from the sun lounge and upstairs window!  Loved the way the cottage has been furnished and decorated - very tastefully done.  Have seen lots of wildlife and beaches have been stunning in the sunshine.. loved the welcome tray - set up the holiday nicely.

June...we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Strathview especially the fantastic views of the ferries etc from the porch where we  enjoy breakfast.  Thank you for everything.  We have been blessed with the weather.   You have thought of everything.  We have really enjoyed our visit.

July...We have had a wonderful time staying at Strathview.  It has been lovely today and the sun has been shining.  Throughout our stay we have gone to great beaches and swam in the sea.  We have also gone on lots of walks.  Thank you for letting us stay at Strathview.

July...What a wonderful base for our first visit to Harris and Lewis - long overdue and it didn't disappoint!  Thank you for providing a home from home for the week.  I will look forward to being back.

July...Strathview was just the perfect place to spend a week with pals.  It was relaxed and cosy and well appointed.  We walked, paddle boarded, kayaked and swam in the sea.  Best beaches Luskentrye, Huisinis, Crabhadial, Bohsta and Uig sands.

​

Aug...Another fantastic visit to Harris!  We will remember this for wildflowers - truly stunning - and the weather - truly wild!  Beaches stunning in all weathers.  We had the most spectacular day walking the Postman's Path from Urgha to Rhenigidale then round to Maraig and back.  13 miles and best walk we've done!  Also blissful swim at Horgabost.  LOVED the scones and butteries from Croft 36!  Best ever!

October... Great place to stay.  The owners have thought of everything which makes for a comfortable stay.  The views speak for themselves. The walks have been long and amazing.  If you want to treat yourselves to a meal in the Bistro in Spalpay then you will not be disappointed.  Thanks.

I can't believe this is my third time to Strathview and it certainly doesn't disappoint.  The cottage is as welcoming as it was and offers warmth and security from the storms and feels like coming home - there is a wonderful sense of peace here and wellbeing.  This visit as well as a wander around Tarbert, which I love, and other Harris Treasures, (Scapay today) I went to parts of Lewis I hadn't been to, the Callanish Stones which are amazing and the Gearrannan Black House Village, which was the icing on the cake.  These days out are made more wondferful knowing the cottage is awaiting us, and to sit in the lounge in the evening with a blazing log fire going and a favouite film to watch is the perfect end to perfect days.  Thank you so much.

Strathview has been a tonic - perfect peace.  A beautiful location, the warmest welcome - card - gifts and treats for me and the dogs...  The cottage is perfect - exceeding all expectations (I follow the cottage on Instagram)  Immaculate - clean - cosy - home from home - a joy to be here and an honour to share this special place.  Thank you both.  Highlights are:

A week is not long enough!  What a beautiful cottage in a stunning location.  Could sit and look out of this window for days.  We were lucky enough to be blessed with a day of glorious sunshine and took advantange.  Harris is spectacular and we would have happily spent another week here.  Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us - I will miss this view immensley!

I have never come across such a well equipped holiday cottage.  There's everything that we could possibly need. Lovely too to have an enclosed garden for the dog who along with us thinks Harris is wonderful!  The house is well positioned for exploring Harris and Lewis.  A very big THANK YOU for a wonderful week!

We had a super time at Strathview and hope to return.  We were so comfortable.  We all agreed Strathview could be wonderful for an autumn / winter week when we could light the coal fire.  The cottage was presented beautifully.  It was pristine.  Thanks again

Harris as always did not disappoint even though weather was a little mixed.  First couple of days scorching so it was all about Scarista beach and using strathview's lovely deck / balcony for Bbq with freshly caught lobster from creels off St Kilda.  Strathview was perfect, cosy and comfortable but quite the 'tardis' with rooms big enough to accommodate our three generations.  The grandsons loved the decking and garden.  I loved coffee and cake and oh! the silence here at Strathview!

We had such a great holiday on Harris.  Your cottage is delightful and was really too big for just the two of us - but we did enjoy all of the amenities and the location - absolutely perfect.  You really have a beautiful home there.  The birds really kept us amused and could devour the fat balls in a blink! 

​

The location of Strathview was ideal for exploring and we managed to see many of the incredible sights on Harris and Lewis, but we also managed to just sit back, relax and enjoy - which was so easy at Strathview!  If I could go back tomorrow - I would!  Thank you once again.

​

We've had the most wonderful week at Strathview.  The house is perfect for us - and so well equipped.  We will be back!  Highlights include glorious beach days and a boat trip with Hebrides Island Boat trips - otters / dolphins / sea eagles / and seals.  Callanish and the Black House village and lovely cakes from Temple.  All just a beautiful short car trip from the cottage.  Thank you again -  just what we needed

A lovely week at Strathview - the cottage is in such a beautiful location.  We had a fantastic time.  Thank you

The stags (viewed from the cottage) have entertained us one or more evening and our last day one has been within 100 yards of the garden fence.  We have found the cottage very well equipped and comfortable.  It has been a holiday to remember.

I would like to thank you for the most amazing week we spent in your house!

Weather was mixed but we managed to see many places in the sun! I have decided on a new favourite beach - Seilebost! Absolutely stunning 🥰

I do hope to come back next year and would love to stay in your cosy house again. Best equipped self catering with so many personal touches I have ever stayed in! Dogs absolutely loved it too. 

We saw seals and eagles on this trip so very happy indeed.

We've loved every minute in this warm, peaceful beautiful place.  Every time we come to Strathview it feels more and more like home.  Every day has been an adventure, and we've loved getting to know more of this island and its hospitable inhabitants.  Can't wait to come back!  The most beautiful place in the world.

Strathview is ideally placed for Tarbert and the beautiful beaches.  Better equipped cottage than many on the island

Another fabulous week following on from last year.  We leave with many memories and have already booked for next year to make some more.  Nice new touches in the cottage

We have enjoyed our time here again and covered most of Harris and Lewis.  Thanks again for the use of your gorgeous cottage

A lovely cottage refurbished with taste.  Remote deck - having breakfast outside.  Interesting books about Harris and the history of the Hebrides.  Relaxing evenings in the living room enjoying the open fire.  Seals and their pups playing joyful in the bay.  The ferry from the porch.  Fantastic stay!

Your lovely cottage so welcoming and comfortable is a perfect place to chill out.

Walks in the North Harris hills - one of the best walks on the island is right on the doorstep.  That is the Postman's Path to Rhenigidale.  Thanks again for letting us use Strathview and we look forward to returning next year.
